Google recently made significant changes to search results page (SERPs), offering searchers a menu of tools and filters — including source and time. Social media is moving front and center, with results from blogs and updates from social media sites like Twitter now readily available via the Google sidebar.

This means that SEO is no longer just about linking, crawl-ability and content. It is now also about recency – how social media is driving the most recent content in search – listed now on the front page. Searchers can now filter results for the ‘latest’ information.

To compete, large brands need to socialize their SEO programs, in order to deliver the most relevant — and recent — content. SEO and social media must be joined at the hip or large companies will risk having their competitors taking the opportunity to out-brand them when it comes to search engine queries and results.

Our panelists will cover:

  • What’s changed — and what hasn’t — in best practices SEO
  • Why large brand advertisers may benefit from the recent changes on Google
  • How to incorporate social media into your overall SEO strategy
