Social Networking 101: Does My CEO Really Need a Facebook Profile?
Everyone’s talking about how social networking is a great way to build brand loyalty, increase customer service and drive more traffic. But how?
Not only must you learn how to build a profile and engage with other users - you’ve got to incorporate these sites into your existing marketing activities. Who has the time to follow all these sites? Does it really pay off?
On Tuesday, March 11, at 1 PM Eastern,Search Engine Land’s Features Editor Vanessa Fox will present a webcast, “Social Networking 101: Does My CEO Really Need A Facebook Profile?” She’ll provide an overview of social networking, along with best practices on how to use social networking sites in your marketing mix.
She’ll cover how to create an effective profile, how to engage customers and potential customers on social networking sites, and when it works — or doesn’t to use social networking as a marketing tool.
Registration is open - so register now!
This webcast is sponsored by Search Marketing Expo - SMX Social Media, coming to Long Beach, California April 22-23, 2008. This show is for internet marketers who want to engage the unique and difficult-to-reach audiences at social media sites like Digg, del.icio.us, Facebook, StumbleUpon, Reddit and Netscape. This West Coast version of SMX Social Media is an encore presentation of the standing-room only New York City edition presented last autumn. Search Marketing Now goes to SMX West - Will we see you there?
The Search Marketing Now team will be at Search Marketing Expo - SMX West, in Santa Clara next week. We’re gearing up for a great show - and looking forward to meeting some of our regular audience members face-to-face. Are you going?
If you’re a full-conference attendee, you can network ahead of time with SMX Connect, which lets you find and interact with others who will be there. We’ve already heard from some of you — but let us know if you’ll be there. SMX also has groups on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Yahoo! Upcoming.
Our Search Marketing Now Q+A Moderator, Katie Gausepohl, will be moderating the Theater Presentations (open to all attendees) in the Expo Hall on Wednesday and Thursday. Katie’s the one who responds with “Thanks, great question,” during the live webcasts. She’ll be giving away more than polite answers - she’s got some special t-shirts for these presentations.
Chris Sherman, co-chair of SMX West and regular speaker on our webcasts, will be moderating many live sessions, including iProspect’s sponsored session, “The 10 Truths Every CMO Must Know About Search Marketing,” Thursday morning.
Former speakers from webcasts who will be attending and/or speaking at SMX West include Eric Ward, Detlev Johnson, Christine Churchill, Vanessa Fox, Rupali Shah, Shari Thurow, Bill Tancer, Bob Bergquist, and Greg Sterling.
And our ace Search Marketing Now webcast moderator (”My name is Claire Schoen and I’ll be your moderator today…”) will be staffing the Third Door Media sales office.
We’ll be at all the networking events and parties, so you can look for us there as well.
Please stop by and say hello — or better yet, email us and let us know you’re coming: webcasts@searchmarketingnow.com.
If you haven’t registered, it’s not too late - but remember, prices go up on-site so register now.
